What we do

NECT seeks to establish learning centres within local communities  to deliver context specific and student-centred learning through purposeful partnerships that leverage the capabilities, contributions and networks of diverse stakeholders.

Intervention Pillars

Since its inception, NECT has established two flagship projects (intervention) in Maiduguri, namely;

  1. The Learning Centre (TLC)- The Learning Centre which combines the provision of shelter with psycho-social support, education, vocational skills training, civics education, and healthcare. Located along Biu Road in Maiduguri, Borno State, the center is built over 7 hectares of land comprising living and learning spaces including but not limited to 1-hectare farm, garment production hub, JAMB accredited Computer Based Testing Center.
  2. Upgrading and re-modelling of the Maiduguri International School (MIS) to serve the needs of NECT beneficiaries, as well as orphaned and vulnerable children in the wider communities.
